Manage your event venues and locations. Create reusable venue profiles with capacity, address, and contact information.

Creating a Venue

Venues are reusable location profiles that you can assign to In-Person events. Once created, select them from a dropdown when creating events.

Required Information

Venue Name

Public name displayed on event pages (e.g., "Apollo Theater")

Address

Full street address for maps and directions

City & Postal Code

Location details for searchability

Optional Details

Capacity: Maximum attendees (helps manage ticket limits)
Contact: Venue phone number for attendee inquiries
Website: Link to venue's official site
Description: Internal notes or venue details

Using Venues in Events

When creating an In-Person event, select a venue from your saved locations. The venue's address and details will automatically populate on the event page.

Create Event

Start creating a new event and select "In-Person" as event type

Select Venue

Choose from dropdown of your saved venues

Auto-Populated

Venue details appear on public event page automatically

Pro Tip: Reusability

For venues you use frequently (your home venue, regular club nights), create the venue profile once and reuse it across multiple events. This ensures consistency and saves time.

Best Practices

Accurate Addresses

Always verify venue addresses are correct and complete. Fans use this information for navigation and directions.

✅ Good: "123 Main St, Studio A, New York, NY 10001"

❌ Bad: "Downtown area" or incomplete addresses

Capacity Planning

Set realistic capacity limits to prevent overselling and ensure compliance with venue fire codes.

Example: Venue capacity = 500

→ Set total ticket limit to 450-475 to account for staff, VIP, and safety margins

Naming Convention

Use clear, recognizable venue names that fans will understand.

✓ "The Roxy Theatre"
✓ "Madison Square Garden"
✗ "Venue #3" or "Downtown Spot"

Archive Old Venues

Keep your venue list clean by archiving locations you no longer use.

Archived venues remain attached to past events but won't appear in the dropdown for new events.
