Creating an Artist

The "Quick Creation" form is designed to onboard artists in seconds. We require only the essentials to get started. Once created, you can access the full profile for deeper customization.

Artist Name & Slug

Enter the public stage name. The system automatically generates a URL-friendly "slug" (e.g., "The Weekend" → the-weekend). This slug is permanent and used for their public links.

Primary Email

Critically important. This email identifies the artist for:

  • Dashboard Access (Invitation system)
  • Royalty Statements
  • Contract notifications

Pro Checklist

  • Ensure the email is accessible by the artist or their manager.
  • Select the correct Dashboard Language (EN/ES). This determines the UI language when they log in.
  • You can add multiple team members later, but this email is the "Owner".

Profile & Branding Assets

Visual Identity

This module isn't just a database; it's a CMS (Content Management System) for your artist's brand. The assets you upload here feed directly into the EPK and Smart Links.

Circular crop. Used in tables, navigation bars, and as the chat profile icon.
Press Photos
High-Resolution carousel. These are downloadable by press/media via the EPK. Upload at least 3 high-quality images.
Logos (Dark & Light)
Upload PNGs with transparency.
• Dark: Used on white backgrounds.
• Light: Used on dark mode backgrounds (EPK Hero section).

"Why ask for both logos?"

Our platform supports automatic Dark Mode generation. To ensure your artist's branding looks professional on both white press releases and dark club flyers, we need optimized assets for both contrasts.

New Feature

Premium EPK Generator

Forget about paying external services or sending static PDF files. LabelStack generates a dynamic, hosted website that serves as your artist's Electronic Press Kit.

Key Capabilities

  • Modular Configuration: Toggle sections ON/OFF (Bio, Stats, Music, Videos, Contact) to tailor the EPK for specific recipients.
  • Listen Links (QR Overlays): Optionally overlay QR codes on release covers that link directly to DSP Smart Links, perfect for printed versions.
  • Print-Ready Mode: Includes a "Download PDF" button with specialized CSS that prevents page breaks inside content blocks and preserves dark mode styling on paper.

How to Use

  1. Go to the Artist list.
  2. Click Edit on the desired artist.
  3. In the header, click the "Generate EPK" button.
  4. A modal will appear. Select your Theme (Dark/Light) and Sections.
  5. Click Generate. A notification will appear with an "Open EPK" button.
  6. The EPK opens in a new tab, creating a unique URL you can share.

Note: The "Public Page" link (`/artists/slug`) automatically loads the EPK with "Dark Mode" and all sections enabled by default.

CRM & Financials

  • Royalty Rate (%)

    Defines the net revenue split for the accounting engine.
    Example: Set to 50% → System automatically calculates EUR 500 for artist on EUR 1000 revenue.

  • Contract Expiry

    For internal tracking. Notifications are sent to the Tenant Owner 30 days before expiration.

  • Industry IDs

    Store Spotify/Apple IDs here. Future features will use these for automated stats fetching.

User Access & Archiving

Invite User

Give the artist access to their dashboard. Use the "Invite User" button in the table. It generates a secure account linked to their profile.

Status: Active / Invited / Pending

Archiving (Soft Delete)

Safety First: We prevent permanent deletion if an artist has active releases to protect historical data.

Instead, use the Archive action. This hides the artist from public views but keeps their data intact.

To restore: Use the "Trashed" filter in the table and click Restore.
